The Revolution of Species è il primo vero album sulla lunga distanza, registrato a Milano da Luca Serpenti e vede la band cimentarsi con un sound che nasce da radici punk, hard rock e stoner, interepretato con la stessa attitudine fun di band come Turbonegro, The Presidents Of The USA e Monotonix.
Lara Brixen, Laura O’Clock e Federica Knox, questi i nome d’arte dei tre “lesbici”, giocano la carta dell’ironia, una carica travolgente che li ha già portati sui palchi di diverse città italiane continuando a girare e a far girare la testa.
“Quello che ci porta a salire on stage”, commenta Laura O’Clock, accarezzandosi la pancia, “è la voglia di rivalsa verso il rock e la musica emergente italiana, riportare il divertimento nell’ assistere ad uno show, far sì che il pubblico partecipi e sia parte integrante dello spettacolo, sotto e sopra il palco”. Aggiunge Federica Knox: “le band che arrivano sul palco, suonano e se ne vanno, ci hanno sempre annoiato terribilmente. Vogliamo costumi, effetti speciali, trovate geniali, musicisti che si scambiano gli strumenti, in cui il contatto col pubblico sia fondamentale e che magari canti anche il batterista!” .”The Revolution Of Species vuole essere proprio questo, involversi guardando al futuro, deconstrutturare gli stereotipi del rock, del punk e dello stoner per creare una ricetta infallibile. E poi è un titolo che crea delle aspettative, un manifesto del Deluded pensiero, ovvero sembrare intelligenti pur non essendolo veramente”, conclude Lara Brixen.
Una band da vedere, da partecipare, da suonare, che delude solo chi si aspetta il solito disco o il solito show!

After two self-released EPs, “The Importance Of Being Ignorant” and “The Ignorance Of Being Important”, the band signs with New Model Label for music publishing and the traditional circuits and with Pirames International for digital and online marketing.
“The Revolution of Species” is the first full length album recorded in Milan by Luca Serpenti, in which the band is venturing in different styles of rock, from punk to hard rock passing through stoner and ’90s alternative but always with the same fun attitude of bands such as Turbonegro, The Presidents Of The USA and Monotonix.
Lara Brixen, Laura O’Clock and Federica Knox, stage-names of these three “lesbian guys” have already hitten various Italian cities and stages with their overwhelming energy and their contagious irony. “What brings us on stage,” says Laura O’Clock, stroking his belly, “is a revenge desire toward rock and the independent music scene. We want to bring back the fun to watch a show, making sure that the crowd is participating and a part of it”.
Federica Knox adds: “Our ideal show has to contain at least fancy dresses, special effects, brilliant ideas, musicians exchanging instruments between songs, strong interaction with the crowd and also a singing drummer! “. ”The Revolution of Species” is an involution that is costantly looking to the future, deconstructing rock stereotypes while creating an invincible recipe using classic ingredients. It’s a title that creates expectations, a manifesto of the Deluded by Lesbians way of thinking. As our drummer Lara Brixen says: “trying to look smart even when you’re not smart at all “.
Deluded By Lesbians have been selected for Sziget Sound Fest 2010 in Budapest, the biggest open-air festival in Europe.
